Features and Benefits

The MC-160B and MC-80B make possible digital setting of the capacitor charge voltage and high speed charging. Settings are made in increments of 1/1000 and so are highly accurate. Checking the progress of production is simple because of the liquid crystal counter, and the unit provides both weld end and overheat signals for use with automatic systems. When 2 points are welded, the current for the second point is increased to compensate for shunt current. Two channels can be set and selected automatically, or can be selected externally, and a built-in buzzer indicates when the second point is welded. A capacity of either 160 WS or 80 WS can be selected for the MC-160B, and either 80 WS or 40 WS can be selected for the MC-80B. Depending on the capacity selected, width of the current waveform varies and the range of welding applications is expanded.
